yes! yes! yes! so many correspondences: the first photo is where I imagine you when I think of the warm living room of yaddo (is that your room where you actually stay? !!!), the turreted top of the second photo looks just like the meditation flats that are being built here (a markedly un-indian design [Amma's, reportedly]. I fear the brick they're using will be covered over by ugly plaster, but right now they're gorgeous, half-finished, with arches and windows and curves all over the place), and MUSHROOMS. John Cage is my nextdoor companion at the moment - I'm listening listening listening to his voice and spark and light. yours too!
this is my room! and ted hughes'! my bed was inhabited by sylvia plath and hubby. i hope it doesn't rub off. tell me about the john cage you're listening to! that tower is a composer's studio, here, but not in use during the winter. lots of bats in the summer. love you and miss you. xx
