i'm not sure about places to stay - though you could probably find a cheap b&b since its off-season - but food is an easy one!
gimme! coffee on w. state st. breakfast at cafe dewitt. good soups at greenstar on w. buffalo. sandwiches of all stripes + super bread at ithaca bakery on w. buffalo. small plates at just a taste on n. aurora (so so good). and happy hour rules at both felicias and maxies (both w state st).
thanks so much. i love taking recommendations on every trip. we got to several of yours in portland, though we need a second trip to do the rest. i'm headed to southern oregon in a few weeks to interview a lot of amazing 80-year-old women who moved to womensland in the 70s. no food trucks.
nope--i'm coming up the 16th and 17th. i'll be spending part of the day in cornell's special collections on the 16th, and part of the day interviewing nancy bereano on the 17th. but i can still cram a lot of eating, looking, walking into the trip, i hope!
that's so incredible generous of you--it would be really fun to meet you. if i'm solo, i may take you up on this. you'd be an official benefactor of this project: http://womeninprint.wordpress.com/
i'm going to find out if my gf is co-piloting. i feel like your home is a restaurant--one whose recipes i try and like.
this is the nicest offer, and if you come to hudson, i'm offering the same. i think the fund is springing for accommodations. i already wish i could stay for a week. i've wanted to see ithaca for years. i'll have to come back in warm weather to do some hiking/walking, etc.

if you need a place you can stay with us (me, boyfriend, 2 dogs:)), we have an extra room + blow up mattress.... :))) let me know:)) xx
i'm kind of the worst to ask about places to go + eat, i pretty much only cook + eat in at home!

you can both stay:))) if you don't mind being in a little room on a blow up....:))
but totally understand if you want a more private and comfy situation! don't feel obligated at all! but invited:)))
