To my favorite(formerly) Ithacan bloggers, what are your suggestions for cheap eats and a good night's sleep, for a quick 36-hour research trip?

I'm still here, though I've hit my winter-wall. I'm working on an article on Bob Moore for the Washington Post. Many of you may not know him by name, though you've most likely eaten his oats. Or groats.
Books that changed Bob Moore's life/Bob playing the piano:

I'm planning a trip to California and southern Oregon to interview feminist publishers of the '60s and '70s. I'm hoping to meet Jean and Ruth Mountaingrove who published The Blatant Image. They lived in an intentional community in Southern Oregon, land that is still designated as WomensLand. Many of the communities that converged around the act of publication remained, and outlasted the actual periodicals, themselves.

Every once in a while, you walk around your house, admiring evidence of your valentine. This morning, I ate my favorite breakfast in a favorite bowl (made by Robin), then discovered my favorite jeans and shirt (laundered by Robin). R. left her glasses and glasses case on the table. I like looking at both. So I bought her a surprise we've been talking about for weeks. We plan to enjoy it after our work is done, today.
